so its afe to assume that GT6 did around 4~ million. probably 4.5 - 4.7 though. PSP is dead, and the only other game left that could possibly sell is GT5.

6 did 2.37m

Those were VGC numbers lol

If you're referring to those numbers from that lawsuit, it was long since discovered that they were using VGC numbers as of june (iirc) 2014.

Wait, GT6 wasn't an utter flop?

GT3 was the pinnacle of the franchise. I love GT but it lost it's way with the transition to PS3.

GT5 Prologue was the pinnacle. It pioneered the idea of a paid demo.

Not really since paid demos already started on the PS2 with Gran Turismo Concept 2001 Tokyo and Gran Turismo 4 Prologue.  Gran Turismo 5 Prologue just was the first one to be available world wide.

To further annul my point, I remember someone giving me a Tomb Raider 2 (or maybe 3) CD which had the first three levels, which they bought (for cheap) thinking was the full game.

There was a lawsuit involving GT6? What for?

"As part of the ongoing litigation by Italian flooring company VIRAG, SCEA shared GT6 sales statistics with the Northern District Court of California. Magistrate Judge Laurel Beeler’s ruling in the court documents show this number to be 2.37 million copies for GT6, bringing the Gran Turismo franchise to 72.6 million copies sold across its 17-year history: gran-turismo-6-boxartIn December 2010, the defendants released Gran Turismo 5, which included a simulated version of the Monza Track. In the course of designing Gran Turismo 5, the defendants willfully and intentionally chose to include the VIRAG® mark on a simulation of the bridge from the Monza Track. Sony America distributed the Gran Turismo 5 game globally, including throughout the United States and North America, and to date over 10.89 million copies have been sold. The defendants’ unauthorized use and display of the VIRAG® mark continued in Gran Turismo 6, which was released in December 2013. To date, over 2.37 million copies of Gran Turismo 6 have been sold"
