Zelda U is getting mentioned because of Tri Heroes launch, when he having interviews about that game there are always question about Zelda U too.

They calling it Wii U Zelda because it's game for Wii U, if game doesnt come on Wii U why mentioning Wii U at all, they could say Zelda that is now NX game.

It would pretty stupid to say Wii U Zelda is still coming to Wii U (lol), in that case they would practically confirmed that game is not coming only on Wii U.

The way that sentence is though, indeed doesn't make it undoubtedly a WiiU game and this is still spinable. Only if the words WiiU and Zelda were the other way around, but yeah, I've always believed the game would at max be cross-gen. It would always come to WiiU. Anyway it's good that the main team didn't waste time on TH, and Zelda U wasn't delayed because of that too.

i think it will be a cross gen title. with NX (if its a console) and WiiU both getting it holiday 2016 when the NX releases. but i dont think this is 100% confirmation thats it will come to the WiiU. while it was announced as a WiiU game, they will still address it as such. Until the NX comes along, if they cancel it for WiiU, it wont be now. 

If they cancel it for WiiU they are going to piss a lot of people off which Nintendo can't afford to do, they have to serve there current userbase who have supported them, it has to be on both platforms.

Why we need 100% confirmation that game is still coming to Wii U (though we had confirmation around E3)!? There is nothing that indicates that game is not coming on Wii U.

People are forgetting that Zelda for Wii U is announced in January of 2013, so that means games in development from 2012-2011 for Wii U, and they already showed us game twice on Wii U and we had one delay of game (like almost every Zelda).

I can't understand any suggestions about cross gen title. Why not make Zelda U for Wii U and, you know, another big Zelda game for NX, just like all the 30 years before? People so obsessed with launch NX title, but that was never typical for the series ("Twilight Princess" case doesn't count, Gamecube and Wii have their own exclusive Zelda's and Wii U deserve to have one too).

Well, Zelda U is probably one of the most (if not the most) complex and expensive game Nintendo has ever made. That, combined by the fact Nintendo needs to make the NX a success as soon as possible while compeeting with PS4/XBone, makes me thing that they will use everything they can to make the NX a sales success from the beginning, and that includes a brand new Zelda at launch. Nintendo doesn't want to keep Zelda U, one of the biggest titles of the generation/s , stuck with an userbase that won't reach GC levels. 

Yeah he didn't confirm it, he just called it Zelda Wii U. I think the theory that it will come ont he NX and Wii U still holds
