This thread is on fire.
85 Meta is very good score. But for a Halo game it feels like it is not enough. Just imagine Uncharted 4 with a 85 meta score. It will be a copy of this thread, only difference is the ones doing the defending will be on the offensive and the ones on the offensive will be on the defensive

Infamous Second Son scored lower than 1 and 2 and Killzone Shadow Fall only beat the first one by three points. Games this generation are expected to break new grounds more than visually, that's my take on it at least.
There hasn't really been any negative about Halo 5 until the entire campaign was playable so it is possible (although highly unlikely) that Uncharted 4 will score in the 80's just like Halo 5. We will have to wait and see

As much as LBP and Infamous or even Killzone are indeed big PS IP's, I'm wondering about the juggernauts, Uncharted, GoW or GT as of PS, like Halo, Gears and Forza for XBOX. TLOU now for PS as well, and this one will have to be great to live up to the first (which I really want xP).

Unless Uncharted has a letdown campaign, which I doubt, it's TLOU team doing it, it's supposed to be a farewell to the franchise, it'll possibly have the best singleplayer of the franchise, and it's already showing amazing action pieces and great improvements to the game itself, not to say the outstanding visual appeal, I really can't see it doihg under 90. To be honest I expect it to go Uncharted 2/TLOU like scores. But yeah, it's wait and see as now there is nothing definitive.

I also see games like Horizon having a way easier timeon reviews, it's another gen and people want completely new things, plus a redhead female protagonist and freaking robot-dinossaurs xP

I think you could count Killzone at least since it was always supposed to be a Halo-killer. The second game got a 92 on Metacritic and I believe they all sold very well. But ye I agree, don't really see Uncharted falling under 90 either. Not saying that Halo 5 is bad just because it has under 90 though, will probably enjoy it as much as I enjoyed all other Halo games.

I'm definitely keeping an eye on the Horizon (hehe). I'm just sceptical, never really liked the gameplay of Guerilla games :P

You missed the point of my comment... it is about the double standard guys here that gloryfied the Halo's story to justify trashing Destiny... well story telling was never good in Destiny (just got a bit better in TTK) but that was a key point from Halo fans saying Halo 5 will be better than Destiny due the awesome story.

Now aftetr the story found to be mediocre and the guys are in defense mode again... just to say "reviewes are comparing the story to epicness Halo stories and not others game stories" is just so bad that I can't even start to arguee about.

Maybe you receive what you deserve... these that always criticied avg. story in games like Destiny received the same threatment in his beloved game.

I don't know becausse I'm just a dumb small fly in the world.

If Halo 5 has The Order's campaign length with Destiny's story quality, will people be willing to say that it deserves a score lower than either?

Uh, unlike The Order, Halo has a meaty MP offering and co-op for its short campaign. It wouldn't have made much difference at all, but The Order would have been slightly more entertaining if Shotgun Guy went after a friend every once in awhile.

As for worse story than Destiny, well, thankfully that does not appear to be the case.

But the score would not be dictated by one area of the game. Titanfall had a terrible SP, but incredible MP. The Tomb Raider reboot had an abysmal MP, but a great SP.

If not the world, at least the internet, Gaf will implode if Uncharted get 85 or lower score.
