I really want to know the xb1 shipments even if it's combined with xb360.

Been a while since they were "not doing so well" now, been quiet on that subject on the forums lately...

Great results! Any more news on an eventual AMD purchase?

I'm so glad I bought MSFT after their stock dropped quite a bit in late january. Paid off very well. I'm just gonna hold now. Keeps on performing. I also have high expectations for SNE in the coming years, I think they are bound to rise a lot. Other than that AWK is doing great for me as well

AMD purchase? I assume you are joking about that ridiculous rumor they were considering it some time back. I think MS are way smarter than making such a dumb move.

Xbox hardware revenue down 17%. Decreased 360 sales and lower X1 price I guess.

Gaf is saying there are no actual shipment numbers in the report.

So this is the end of shipped number reporting from MS altogether? I guess it took a natural progression from vague to zilch.

Although it isn't a big deal to the company overall, it works out best for them this way. Use the usual spin, they can probably convince a lot of sites that sales are close throughout the gen.

Thanks kowenicki. These threads are always excellent.

I am actually still confused over why Sony for such a long time grouped PS2+PS3 shipments and didn't give separate reports, just like MS does now. Because the PS3 DID sell quite well, just like the X1, so why group shipments?

That happened beginning in 2012. In Holiday 2011, PS3 dropped to $250, undercutting the Xbox 360 HDD by $50 - MS outsold them by 2 million units that quarter. That is why they grouped it with PS2 thereafter. Some people think it was to hide Vita sales, but Sony was open about that by expecting 5 million sales for the year, which was abysmal

How many xbones shipped?

Xbox 360s respective quarter (2007) was 1.8M units...so likely over 2 million and we know the One is shipping more than 360 did in the first half of this year than that did in 2007.

This quarter is always Xbox's 2nd biggest quarter for the year, the holidays is the biggest.

Xbox 360 for comparison (bolded)

2006/2007 1.0 4.4 0.5 0.7
2007/08 1.8 4.3 1.3 1.3
2008/09 2.2 6.0 1.7 1.2
2009/10 2.1 5.2 1.5 1.5
2010/11 2.8 6.3 2.7 1.7
2011/12 2.3 8.2 1.4 1.1
2012/13 1.7.
