Unfortunately, in this broken world of ours, some people actually do act this way. Ignoring facts and just slandering their opponents, you'd be surprised just how more ethical GamerGate as a movement is - even if that doesn't really get things done.
That, and quite a few involved in GamerGate have superb taste in anime. I still have no idea how or why.

Video games, imo, fall into the umbrella of art. You can't dictate what artists are going to make. As long as someone wants to see women half naked with their fake boobs bouncing around, someone is going to put it into a game.
