Video games, imo, fall into the umbrella of art. You can't dictate what artists are going to make. As long as someone wants to see women half naked with their fake boobs bouncing around, someone is going to put it into a game.

Rockstar will never bow down to these fascists.

I fear they will bow down to other forces, unfortunately.

The guy has no idea what he's talking about, like many people that aren't involved in the ''gaming world'' on a regular basis. Censorship is always dangerous. But somehow since it's feminism, it's acceptable. I can't wrap my head around that. Anyway, feminism is a fad, it's a joke. In a few years time nobody cares anymore.

Don't think he knows what gamergate is.

Agree about the feminism stuff though.

i imagine his staff googled gamergate then just told him the first thing they saw

which was this

sadly everyone lumps GG into one issue, i.e. the atrocious behaviour of a minority that thought personal attacks, insults and threats are the way to achieve results. This has massively backfired and allowed the unethical/borderline corrupt gaming journalists to continue on their merry way which is truly sad as really they need to be dealt with just as much as the misogynistic morons.

Just another relatively out of touch two faced politician looking to score brownie points by throwing around buzz words and bullying a group that most of his constituency doesn't know anything about other than what he just said. Nothing to see here. Move along.

It depends on what the game is trying to achieve. If it's obvious that it is a fictional work, then leave it be. If it is clear that it is trying to send a message promoting misogyny, then attack it with criticism.

There are those not me who would say many of them.

I'm still not sure what the whole gamer gate stuff turned into. Perhaps he thought it was a nice buzz word to get in touch with the younger crowd. Not a good idea. Better not say anything about video games, that's serious business lol. Don't mess with da games.

The rest of the article is blowing stuff out of proportion too. Though his points are the typical stereotypes, music lyrics and pornography, I would never link shifting parental roles to absent fathers as a code word for black communities. (never heard of that one before) Nor what that has to do with violence against women.

Anyway reminds me to dig up The prodigy again, has been a while since I had Smack my bitch up on. And I just backed another apparently racist game. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2015-10-06-the-journey-down-launches-kickstarter-to-complete-the-saga

Lol at the article next to it http://www.thestar.com/news/federal-election/2015/10/20/america-ponders-trudeaus-victory-ogles-shirtless-photos.html
