Forums - Nintendo - News Regarding a Zelda game Will Be Coming in November From a Famitsu Interview

Well when it comes to TPHD, I don't want a "redesign" if by that you mean actually changing the world and stuff, but I would want the game to be built from scratch on a new engine. However, what I would like to be completely changed (and sadly it's never going to happen) are the boss battles. TP had the most awesome boss designs and battle concepts and could have made for easily the most epic and amazing boss battle roster in the franchise... and then they all ended up being a generic, formulaic puzzle disguised as a creature you have to kill.

Well, sure, this was a problem with previous Zelda games already, but in TP they took it to a whole new level. There wasn't a single boss battle in the entire game that felt like a battle, and that was just sad.

I just mean a visual redesign. I'm not naive enough to believe they'd actually drastically change some of the major issues with the game. Too much work for not enough benefit.

Yeah, sadly enough they wouldn't do it. Sigh, could you imagine it if all that stupid crap you had to do at the beginning was optional... *sobs*

I thought everyone loved collecting goats.

Also for people that saying we didn't see any image from December, it's similar situation with Twilight Princes.

In August 2005 we had some Twilight Princes pictures and next pictures we got at E3 in June 2006.

The problem with this comparision is that at this time we had from TP 3 trailers, a logo, a name and demos, while from the new one we have a 40 seconds teaser and a couple of minutes from off-screen footage that doesn't look as good as the teaser.

That make me think they delayed TP for whole year was because of Wii releasing, but with Zelda U we still didnt see any logo, name or more trailers, so it seems that delay was really because more development time.

Also I think that of-screen cannot be compared with E3 teaser, and I think even if it was of-screen looks great.

It was delayed a full year only because the Wii version. Aonuma admitted at GDC 2007:

"However, if we put Twilight Princess on the Revolution, we ran the risk of those looking forward to playing it on the GameCube. For this reason, we knew that we had to release it for the GameCube as well. But doing so meant developing two versions, a GameCube version and Revolution version, and we knew that it was impossible to create both before the 2005 release as promised. Miyamoto negotiated with the higher-ups, and in the end, while it would disappoint those users who were looking forward to the 2005 release, if we really were able to create a 120% Zelda game that could be played both on the GameCube and on the Revolution, then even if we did release at the time of the launch of the Revolution in 2006, we could make even those users happy. This was Iwata’s response and the decision to create Twilight Princess for both the Revolution and the GameCube."

And this time it's exactly the same. At least it's not as cruel as with TP.

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

I have just thought about something. The first Legend of Zelda game was released on 21st of february 1986.
What if they release Zelda wii u close to that date for the 30th anniversary? Maybe on 19th february 2016.
I know it's almost impossible but... what if they do? And then they release TP HD in november 2016 (though I'd rather wait for the NX for that so that the jump in graphics would be impressive!).
God, I need Zelda wii u so much!

If anything, TPHD for february and Zelda HD at November.

Good news scenario

We understand you would like to play Zelda on Wii U and next year that's going to happen with the release of Zelda U. In the meanwhile we entirely remade TP in full HD and it looks great. The game will be 40 bugs and available in december, supporting the tablet ofcourse with off screen play.

Bad news scenario

Due to technically complexitie with the game and the hardware of Wii U not being sufficiënt enough. We have decided to move Zelda U to NX, please understand, however have another remake of TP for $60-

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar
