Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

Ugh. This trend needs to stop. This is unacceptable for any game on any console.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

Multiplayer update? More maps and modes? Ok.

I'll play the SP while it downloads.

That's plush!

Day one updates don't really bother me too much, but I could see it being an issue if you don't have fast internet or have a data cap.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

I don't know why all these things are so large, like the witcher having a 10GB patch (a freaking patch), a lot of last gen games are this size and so many companies are guilty of this. Why is 20% of the data for the game a day 1 download?

There's only 2 races: White and 'Political Agenda'
2 Genders: Male and 'Political Agenda'
2 Hairstyles for female characters: Long and 'Political Agenda'
2 Sexualities: Straight and 'Political Agenda'

Well I think we were all expecting a large update.

I blame these lousy Bluray discs!

How about this. How about these companies let ANYONE download these patches and have them preloaded. That way, when you buy the game, it's read to install day one?

Are you able to preload those update install?

This gen is so requiring decent internet and online access that it wouldn't be a big change if both Sony and MS made both consoles online only. And the trend will only continue.
