This sort of shit is why I'm really glad Nintendo isn't leading the industry. People are gonna go, "oh but it wasn't important get over it,etc" -but no. It takes away part of the value of the game. Wouldn't be a problem if you could just IMPORT the game, but Nintendo also had the brilliant idea to region lock their systems as well If you're gonna censor it, have a reason to censor it. Is it to lower the rating to T? No? It's still M? Then why the hell is it out? This sort of behavior among others that Nintendo exhibits are why I'd rather have Microsoft/Sony in charge. I really hope Nintendo can fix their act, especially Nintendo of America, before the arrival of the NX

How can you say that removing something tacky from the game takes away part of the value? That's clearly not true.

because some people don't care if seen has "tacky" or jerk off material they just want the same content the Japanese got and NoA doing just helps make the reputation hat Nintendo is a kiddie company in the eyes of core gamers something that would be smart if they distance themselves from.

If this was a hairy dude in a skimpy speedo would anyone care? I highly doubt it.

Tacky for you does not equate to everyone. Plus value is different to everyone. For me, having less content than another region does not increase the value of the game, it in fact decreases it

It's tacky, like bad 80's tacky, that's a fact. If the amount of content available is what concerns you,  then you have nothing to worry about, they added two uniforms to replace it. 2 is higher than 1.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

They wouldn't have that either, because that would be tacky as well, even more so.

and not having games altered for another country for no reason isn't?

mark my words if you don't complain now NOA will get out of hand with this.

NoA? What does NoA have to do with this?

Also, there was a perfectly valid reason, most people find that sort of stuff tacky. It adds nothing to the game, and instead serves to degrade it.

NoA freaking localized this game they have everything to do with it.

and i don't care if its consider tacky and it doesn't degrade the game as much as other alternate silly costumes do cause its not suppose to be taken seriously like a ton of other games have.

Keep the one in and add the extra 2. Thats 3. 3 is higher than 2.

I wonder if any Japanese people are upset about missing the Samus / Zelda costume?
This is a day 1 purchase for me, simple as that.
I assume the PAL physical release version is also censored?
Having recently visited Japan it's clear that they have a much more liberal attitude to sexual content than the USA.

i imagine there might be quite a few people in Japan who want as well so would be nice of NoJ and Koei to release them as a DLC for the Japanese version

hell in a perfect world europe  and north america would of gotten the bikin's and the Nintendo costume while Japan would get the Nintendo costumes as free DLC on top of NA getting a phsycal release but nope we can't have that because well NoA happened -___-

Chalk one up for the PC crybabies. I for one will certainly sleep better at night knowing the girls are appropriately covered. And BTW Nintendo, I am PASSING on this one to, using my cash where I know it hurts you most, FIGHT YOUR CENSORSHIP. I see worse things cruising past Victoria's Secret in the mall.....

Try to do at least ONE good deed everyday....

I think it's dumb, but it doesn't affect my interest in the game.

One thing I want to know is whether this decision was made by Nintendo or by the Treehouse. The fact that the European version is also edited may indicate that it came from the top, but I'm pretty sure the NoA and NoE versions have the same (American) voices, meaning the Treehouse handled the localization for both versions, right?

I mean, it's still stupid either way. But if Treehouse is meddling with the actual content of games they're localizing just because they disagree with something in them, that's worrying to me. What kind of Fire Emblem: Fates are we going to get? What if face touching and skimpy costumes in those make Treehouse members uncomfortable? Cut a bunch of content from the game, replace all of the outfits with Nintendo-themed costumes, drastically change dialogue etc?

Why don't you just release the goddamn game the developers made and let the players decide which parts of it they do or don't like?
