It's been more than a month since we learned about the alternative forms of Zygarde and still we didn't recived any form of announcement for the next Pokémon title in the main series, usually this annoncements are made via TV Shows, Nintendo Directs or Videos on the Pokémon socials but currently we haven't seen anything about this. Also this month's entry of Coro Coro only spoke about Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon. Is it possible that Nintendo asked TPCI to not announce the game yet because they want it to be one of the announcemets they'll make in an upcoming Direct ? We've learned by IGN that sooner or later Directs will come back and since Nintendo has been pretty quiet lately it wouldn't surprise me if they decided to make the Directs come back with some major announcements like Pokémon Z, Pikmin 4 or Twilight Princess HD. In support of this theory there are also the statements of the USA TPCI Marketing Director who said that Pokkén Tournament won't be the biggest Pokémon game we're gona see in Q1 2016.

So what do you think ? Is the next Pokémon title beeing delayed for a Direct or some other event or is it only due to the release of MD ? In this case do you think the announcement of a main series title could hurt the sales of the Spin-off since the first one couldn't possibly be released in 2015 ?

It will be announced soon enough. They might want to make multiple announcements in a Direct, so they're saving their ace carefully, even if everyone knows it's coming.

On the next direct this month or at the latest, the january direct.

Yes, it's being delayed so as to be developed.

If there's a title that won't become a NX launch title, it's Pokemon Z. Nintendo doesn't break pokemon generations between consoles. Even B2/W2 appeared on the DS, and those came after the 3DS had already lanuched.

Probably true.. but the DS also had a gazillion consoles sold.

That would most certainly make sure that NX would get off to a flying start to say the least. With that said, I am sure you are correct.

Was half joking. They don't put a mainstay game on until it becomes at least somewhat successful. With all the crazy speculation going on these last few days + Pokemon GO, there is a first time for everything.
