Forums - Microsoft - Are the people making the most noise about halos splitscreen removel even Halo fans??

Yes we are. It was the split screen aspect of Halo that created the whole social experience in the first place so a true Halo fan is understandably disappointed. I still think Halo 5 will end up being the best one yet in the series, but it would be perfect with split screen.

Well to me losing co op is a lose as i had some great times with it. But i still think its kinda silly that people are stright out saying the game is going to suck without it. Does every other game suck that doesnt have co op??

Depending on the game, for example - Mario Kart or Borderland losing Co-op would be pretty devastiating for high~university schoolers.

Yep I loved playing halo split-screen with my bro, I was probably getting a X1 at some point to continu that tradition but now I'm not even thinking about getting an X1

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

I haven't seen anyone complaining that I know doesn't play Halo...

When I got Halo 4, me and my brother played it from beginning to end, without moving from the sofa. It was one of my recent greatest gaming experience which I will never get again with Halo. So I completely understand those that react emotionally to this decision. Most of them will likely get it in the end anyways but this does how MUCH the love Halo, not how little and being dismissive of it is disrespectful of those fans. It is also the only aspect of this release that 343i hasn't handled well.

Id agree in both them cases since the games are pretty much based around it. But Halo (With the exception of the first one) has always been more known for its great single player story and online modes. Like a lot of my friends that we used to play co op local Halo with back in the day has moved away and same with myself but we still continued that online even when the was still co op (But still was kinda nice for us all to be able to just jump in if we did get together, but i guess if we wanted to do that now they could just bring their xbox's?) .

Xbox is pretty heavy, just saying.

And some people have yet to experience - or experiencing your 'back in the day' right now. Drawback is a drawback.

I can understand people who make noises, I don't really care split-screen is going away, but I can understand.

Btw, I also love that we as Xbox games actually argue and are critical of some decisions. We should never become blind sheeps that adore Xbox whatever decision they make.

I've made a couple threads about Halo and Battlefront not having splitscreen and I'm genuinely disappointed. I live with one friend that would play Halo with me, but he isn't gonna drop all that cash on another Xbox, another copy of Halo 5, and another TV just so we can play together (we wouldn't even be able to fit another TV in the apartment). I live with another friend that has a PS4, so we'll never get to play Battlefront together (he's a huge Star Wars fan) because I'll have an Xbox and he'll have a PS4 and there's no splitscreen. The whole situation is upsetting to me, because I know that these splitscreen sessions would be GREAT experiences and we would really have an awesome time playing some online Halo/Battlefront together. But none of it's gonna happen. And that saddens me.

Oh...and yes. I'm a Halo fan. Forgot to answer the OP.

I bet the Wii U would sell more than 15M LTD by the end of 2015. He bet it would sell less. I lost.

I think yes halo fans are disappointed for the most part about it, but I feel like 2/3 people complaining about it don't play halo and probably never Owned a Xbox.

Halo MCC will sell 5+ million copies(including digital)

halo 5 will sell 10 million copies(including digital)

x1 will pass ps4 in USA, and UK.

actually the most people i see complain about split screen removal is the halo fans. i dont blame them, split screen is AWESOME. i wish more devs would give us split screen games. both online and offline.
