With no games ... not really a discount.

I already got one for $275 with all Gears games plus AC:Unity (and Tomb Raider since it was free with XBLive Gold). Anyone looking for a deal should have listened to my Target post a couple weeks back.

The deal ran out when i wanted to buy. Im gonna wait til the crzy holiday deals.

You see I disagree about that.  Everything up till now has proven that its media functions have gotten it nowhere.  BC can work through download as well.

As far as BC goes, if you own the physical copy of a 360 game you need the disc to play it on the Xbox One.

I can agree to disagree about the media features. Though, I have to say that I think the type of buyer that is going to find the lower price attractive are also going to be the people that will:

A: get the most use out of the media features.

B: be the most apprehensive about not being able to go into their local Wal-Mart and buy a game.

I would like to see that assumption tested.  All MS would have to do is announce that they are adjusting their online prices when they launch this SKU.  Lead the charge for once MS...

Prediction for console Lifetime sales:

Wii:100-120 million, PS3:80-110 million, 360:70-100 million

[Prediction Made 11/5/2009]

3DS: 65m, PSV: 22m, Wii U: 18-22m, PS4: 80-120m, X1: 35-55m

I gauruntee the PS5 comes out after only 5-6 years after the launch of the PS4.

[Prediction Made 6/18/2014]

Okay, things are getting a bit silly now. I'm not saying it's impossible for MS to price the Xbox One at less than $200 two years from now,  but to suggest that it will be under $200 "easy" or to expect it is just silly.

So far, we've talked about taking out the HMDI-in, Blu-ray player, and one of the USBs, them ending up somehow struggiling to sell 30 million consoles though they are well on their way to selling much better than that, and dropping prices on their digital games.

So yes, they could theoretically drop the price...but it's very, very unlikely.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Right NOW they are not on their way to selling more than 40m.   Drop the price to a competitive level and they would exceed 40m quite easily.

40 million lifetime? I would definitely bet against that if that's what you're saying. No doubt they're on track for 40 million.

I bet the Wii U would sell more than 15M LTD by the end of 2015. He bet it would sell less. I lost.

Does it matter.  It makes the Fallout bundle at 399 look like a straight up rip off and what else were we expecting for Black Friday from Microsoft.  I told my friend to wait and I was right.  Thats $100 cheaper plus an extra controller plus an extra game.

Quite right. I don't live in the US so I'm not too familiar on how Black Friday works, I assume this $299 deal is for that one day only?

Whoever leaked this pretty much destroyed any reason to buy an Xbox One between now and then.
