As far as BC goes, if you own the physical copy of a 360 game you need the disc to play it on the Xbox One.
I can agree to disagree about the media features. Though, I have to say that I think the type of buyer that is going to find the lower price attractive are also going to be the people that will:
A: get the most use out of the media features.
B: be the most apprehensive about not being able to go into their local Wal-Mart and buy a game.

I would like to see that assumption tested. All MS would have to do is announce that they are adjusting their online prices when they launch this SKU. Lead the charge for once MS...

Okay, things are getting a bit silly now. I'm not saying it's impossible for MS to price the Xbox One at less than $200 two years from now, but to suggest that it will be under $200 "easy" or to expect it is just silly.
So far, we've talked about taking out the HMDI-in, Blu-ray player, and one of the USBs, them ending up somehow struggiling to sell 30 million consoles though they are well on their way to selling much better than that, and dropping prices on their digital games.
So yes, they could theoretically drop the price...but it's very, very unlikely.
