I think you're forgetting that UK now has this bundle and will get a xenoblade bundle on the 4th of december. Its a pretty good move from nintendo to try to get sales moving by throwing in the extra game and with both games being very popular it should do well in causing a sales spike.

Yeah, I know about Xenoblade, but will it sell well? I'm really not sure. How many "more mature" games sold a lot of Wii U? If it was a new Mario instead of a 1.5 years old Mario Kart, I would agree that this bundle will sell a lot. Nintendo main audience is still families and kids after all IMO... 

But with 2 old family games and a new JRPG game, against the tons of PS4 and XOne bundles (and not counting the NX coming), I'm not sure the Wii U will do well. 

Point with this bundle is that people dont need to buy separate Splatoon and MK8, they can just buy console without buying any game and enjoy probably 2 best Wii U games. This bundle will certainly will move some console, bigger effect would be with $250 price.
