Forums - Nintendo - As much as I like how SMT x FE has turned out, Nintendo should've just paid Atlus to put out a new Trauma Center.

Why not both? D:

I do love Trauma Center though. Received it as a gift on the Wii, had no idea what it would be like and ended up enjoying it quite a bit. Surprised a Wii U entry wasn't released sooner :/

But are you guys sure about Trauma center being a good choice because the gamepad? You want another game that makes you do everything in the little screen while the TV is there just because? Cause I´m not really against that, but look at Kirby RC, the game has been widely ignored for that reason, even being a pretty good game for what I´ve seen.

There's a difference between forced, unnecessary gamepad use (Kirby), and gamepad use that actually adds to the experience and can be balanced with the TV. For example, in Trauma Center, they could have had it so the large parts of the operation were performed on the TV, with precision operations and moves being focused on the gamepad. There are a few ways they could have added to the Trauma Center formula without necessarily abusing the gamepad. Even then, Trauma Center would belong on the gamepad, while Kirby really could have been tooled to be TV focused. There are games where you just shouldn't force touchscreen functionality, like the LoZ DS games.

But you are wrong, on Kirby the gamepad is not forced nor a gimmick, that game requires that you draw lines on a very accurate and quick way, there is no way to make that gameplay works otherwise at all, wiimote cannot  be accurate enought, just remember the rails on kirby epic yarn when you transform into a train, it was a pain in the ass, just imagine an entire game played like that but way more fast. The gameplay of this Kirby was perfectly integrated with the gamepad since is a sequel of a game that needed to be played on a tactil screen on the first place, the problem is that you only use the TV on multiplayer.

The trauma center you describe makes not a lot of sense to me since every operation would require the stylus anyway, so you would be looking at the gamepad all the time just like Kirby and that doesn´t seem very popular.

WPCTraveler...

Jokes aside, I absolutely love the TC games. I would eat another one in an instant...

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

[3DS] Winter Playtimes [Wii U]

While I'm interested in trying out Trauma Center, there are a million games in the series available to me currently, whereas there isn't another SMTxFE.

So, I'd much rather have SMTxFE. Plus the Wii U needs JRPGs. Although I am surprised that the Wii U and 3DS haven't gotten a single TC game.

Trauma Team was bad in comparisson to Center. I loved Trauma Center.

The game wouldn't even sell.

You're talking about the company that funded Devil's Third.

What, you've never woken up with a hangover in a strange bed, rolled over to see your companion and immediately thought "Welp...fuck"?
