Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Battlefield Hardline becomes the 14th game in EA Access Vault sometime this month.

Hmm, EA Access seems like a good deal in the short term but not the long term. I recently bought Battlefield Hardline for 20$. I think its a good option for some people who do not buy many games but not for everyone

For $30 its a great deal. You get a whole year to play through a bunch of good games.

People who buy the Madden and Fifa bundles get a year free as well. Which is awesome because people who buy a new console generally dont have much to play.

That's an awesome point. An Xbox One bundle and EA Access is the perfect deal.

Here's a lesson for everyone with a X one. Don't buy EA games, ever. Because they'll be on EA access within 6 months.

Is that a bad thing? You're still buying a subscription.

Not sure how the maths works out, but it seems that if EA is going to make a rod for its own back by putting games into EA Access in the same year (or within a year) of release then it's likely that subscribing to EA access will cost you less in the long run than buying those EA games. It will be interesting to see what EA does with franchises that sell millions at retail. Perhaps they will take a lot longer to go into the vault, which means being a bit more analytical about whether subscribing is worth it.

Only thing is that most people don't subscribe to play 1 game. If they cared about the one game that much they would just buy it at launch. There's a collection of games with more being added over time. Which makes the service worth it.
