Not sure how the maths works out, but it seems that if EA is going to make a rod for its own back by putting games into EA Access in the same year (or within a year) of release then it's likely that subscribing to EA access will cost you less in the long run than buying those EA games. It will be interesting to see what EA does with franchises that sell millions at retail. Perhaps they will take a lot longer to go into the vault, which means being a bit more analytical about whether subscribing is worth it.


Only thing is that most people don't subscribe to play 1 game. If they cared about the one game that much they would just buy it at launch. There's a collection of games with more being added over time. Which makes the service worth it.
