The latter. He just posted a chain of posts that were definitely the work of an expert. I've never actually played with theprof before.
After I read them I went back up to earlier posts to see if I could see what he was saying. Sure enough I noticed the mentions of the number of people who died and decided to point that out.

Actually I think the reaction is more akin to a mafia. When you are a mafia you expect there to be one kill. If you were a serial killer or a vig you would know that there would be the person you killed as well as the person the mafia killed. One more kill might be a surprise, but not enough for that kind of reaction. |
With a game this size, there's no chance there'd be only 1 death with no-scum/vigil/serial killer lynch. The surprise comes from the rather one sided deaths, as I didn't expect 3 people with roles to die. Hence, the surprise.

What do you mean by, "of a game this size". How does this size imply more than one kill? And a vigilante shooting on night one is a pretty scary concept given the lack of input on day one.
I'm also confused by the way you worded "one-sided deaths" to mean "people with roles" and not "townies".

of a game this size = the number of people signed up. Too many people to assume that it's Town vs. Mafia. There have to be 3rd parties like vigilante/serial killer.
One-sided deaths meaning that they were all town on top of the designation that they all had roles (none of the 3 dead were vanilla townies).

Why would the number of people playing have anything to do with there being a serial killer/vigilante?
With 2 deaths per day, one at night, and one lynch, the game could be over in as little as 3 days, depending on the format.

Just my experience and expectations when playing mafia with 10+ people.
I just want to put it out there that sk has had sufficient tI'm to come clean about possibly being psyched and turned into town.
I just want to make sure people understand this so we don't have a day 5 "I WAS the sk but luckily enough I was doctored and turned into town on night 1"
If this was the case, sk should have already come forward. So from here on out, if a killing role is discovered please lynch them immediately. Don't allow them to talk their way out.
Well I think we can deduce that supermario128 was killed by the sk based on the flavor.
The other two I'm not sure about. Bella looks like she was killed up front and center, but that doesn't help much at all.
