Can we please get back on topic? |
Don't think that was the point.
The point was the OP is showing a lack of responsibility sense by going with it just to see what happens. It's a very dangerous mind-set. The US election can have a big impact on the whole world. Its sad to see american voters taking it so lightly and saying they are going to try the guy saying risky things just to see what happens.
What can happen? Crisis, war, racism, poverty, etc. These arent things you do to "just to see what happens". It's irresponsible and cruel.
Please don't vote for Trump, I need a back up plan in case through similar circumstances Jeremy Corbyn ends up running the UK...
Voting Donald Trump is economic suicide, the US will become the new Greece. No one is going to bail you out if your country votes on committing suicide like that.
I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

I think the separation of powers and dual sovereignty federalism do a great deal to prevent a "hitler" in the U.S. Too many different positions and none of them have any unbalanced authority over the other. So it shouldn't be a big deal to be honest.
A U.S president doesn't determine whether or not a country will be impoverished. Racism is primarily a cultural phenomena.
In the U.S system war has been something which it seems the legislative branch has relaxed its authority over, and consequently it has become solely a presidential/executive decision. Unfortunately that is an area that is a huge issue, but as bad as Trump is he isn't the worst candidate as far as warhawkiness goes (I personally think Jeb, Cruz, and a few others would be worst.)

From the number of posts in this thread alone and the Internet in general, it's pretty obvious that American voters aren't "taking it so lightly".
I bet the Wii U would sell more than 15M LTD by the end of 2015. He bet it would sell less. I lost.

If the U.S goes down everything else is going with it or has already gone. Don't think anybody would be in any position to bail the U.S out. It would be the second Great Depression.

Obviously, not everyone is the same. With that said, not long ago Bush was elected twice... so, i don't know. Its difficulty to generalise everyone like that, but the OP is certainly taking it lightly.

So far the best people running for President seem to be Hillary Clinton and Bern Sanders. The rest that I have seen are all thoroughly insane.
