So that's 3 major retailers now. I guess Sony has dropped the wholesale price for retailers and let them decide what to do about that increased margin. It makes total sense to not just pass on that lowered cost to consumers but use it to turn over more stock, until Sony officially announces a price cut. It's rather a retailer friendly thing to do.

In fact all their bundles are overpriced to increase the perception on value when they inevitable cut they price.

MS know exactly what they want to achieve, they just don't always pull it off.

Oh my,  that's quite a theory you've got there! So MS is purposely overpricing their bundles now so as to "increase the perception of value" when they cut the price later?   M'kay, that sounds reasonable  O.o

I can just imagine how that master plan went down at Microsoft HQ...

Microsoft CFO: "We've really got to increase sales for the remainder of the year. Let's set a competive price right now and then we can lower the price on Black Friday like everyone else does."

Phil Spencer:" No!"...... (whips off his glasses and turns dramatically to glare into the camera). That's EXACTLY what they're EXPECTING us to do!

Phil Lender (in over-acted voice):  "They'll call it crazy.  But I call it (*puts on sun glasses*) jackpot."

Off screen singer:  YEEEEEEAAAAAH!!!

And for those wondering, yes I am too lazy to make the obvious meme image for this :P

Have Destiny Dethroned Halo?

It appears so.

Wow @ ps4!

I can't help looking at the COD LE and Battlefront LE and thinking they are being kept artificially high to not steal sales from last month and this month. I expect them both to drop $100 in price, or $50 with an extra game added as we get close to release, depending on how the pricecut plays out. If that is how it turns out, seems a sensible tactic to keep sales at a steady flow instead of a roller coaster ride of ups and downs.

#8 (UP) - Ps4 Destiny TTK LE
#31 (DWN) - Ps4 TLOU Bundle
#52 (UP) - X1 Halo 5 LE
#73 (DWN) - Ps4 COD LE
#75 (UP) - X1 Madden Bundle
#88 (DWN) - Ps4 SW LE
#90 (UP) - Ps4 Standard
#99 (UP) - X1 Gears Bundle

This month will be crazy as hell. Also, what is the deal with the Ps4 vanilla aka dummy edition?
