All in all ,a positive news but that under the hood a disaster and the realizing that the 360 is doomed in Europe .

Do you really think a measly 36% increase (the PS3 has received 6% without price drop whatsoever ) after a big price drop  in their biggest European market when the prior price drops of 360 and PS3 got boosts of 170% and 178% is a good news ?

Of course it would be worse if the sales actually plummeted after the price drop but this is discouraging to say the least .

"PS3

The PS3 saw the biggest increase in worldwide sales, up 156% over last year, with a huge 212% increase in February.  At this time last year, however, the PS3 had not yet even launched in PAL markets.  Looking strictly at NA and JP sales, then, we can still see a sizeable 50% increase in NA sales from last year and a more modest but respectable 16% increase in JP sales.  Most of the increase in NA sales are likely mostly due to the release of DMC4, since PS3 sales were up only 10% in NA in January, but February 2008 numbers were more than double those from 2007 (DMC4 was released in February 2008).  A stronger lineup overall and agressive marketing with price cuts, bundles, and advertising, also helped.  Like the Wii, the PS3 is currently selling better in PAL markets than even in NA.  Also like the Wii, the PS3 should see a marked improvement for the rest of 2008 over last year's sales as it moves into its first full calendar year in all markets."

Tease.

36% is...good, i guess? Perhaps the stigma of the RROD is very prevailent in europe due to them not having te free warrenty? (As far as i know at least.)

As far as you know = you don't know.  The extended warranty covers Europe.

@ legend

I think he just made an assumption.

Btw. We would I call for a broken wireless adapter? My 360 just stopped recognized its there.

This 40% is only for the days it has been efective so week to week sales must have risen some 25-28% .

.

No, it was a 36% increase week over week:

During week 11, Xbox 360 enjoyed a 36 per cent jump on week 10

He may have made an assumption but he asked if the warranty covers Europe in another thread and someone answered him within minutes saying yes.
