Yes, if you announce the price cut BEFORE the release. If you announce it 2 weeks after release (like poklane proposed), you're just ripping off your first customers.

It's always point to before release, not after.

I mean, its weird that they announce an announcement of a bundle including price, and then BOOM price drop.

Could just release them at those prices and then drop $50 2 weeks later.

Maybe customers know better and they will wait until the last moment to buy the console, when Microsoft goes all crazy with the price cuts like you are saying.

I've been assuming that the best bundle is going to be Fallout, which will be announced tomorrow. But thinking about it, Fallout releases on the same day as Tomb Raider. Would MS, CD and Bethesda all be happy with two competing bundles on the same day? Perhaps it won't be Fallout after all, and that will be saved until BF?

Personally, I still think it will be Fallout, but there is a chance it won't be.
