Minecraft is not mediocre. It is the undeniably best game in its genre, and the amount of stuff to do is immense. There are a bunch of games on that list that I don't think is even close to deserve to be on a 100 greatest video games list, but Minecraft isn't one of them.

Stupid reasons, lol. But let's get back on track. How does Minecraft deserve the top 10 spot and Chrono Trigger doesn't deserve to be on the list at all?

I don't deny a lot of people love minecraft, I enjoy it myself.

Lol, that's not back on track. This was never a discussion on why Chrono Trigger doesn't deserve to be on the list while Minecraft does, this was a discussion about why Minecraft deserves to be on the list, but when you ran out of arguments on why it didn't, you brought an entirely different game that had nothing at all to do with the discussion into it. Maybe Chrono Trigger deserves to be number 1. That doesn't mean Minecraft doesn't deserve a place in the top 10 lol.

Um, no. Chrono Trigger easily deserves to be top 10. Would it have been better for you if I would have phrased it like that?  Why doesn't Chrono Trigger deserve to be in Minecrafts spot. See, right on topic for you.

Those are two very separate arguments. Chrono trigger isn't off the list because Minecraft is in the top ten. Nor are any other games not on the list at all because Minecraft is number 10. 

Reasons is there. It's fun is accessible, it allows for quite a bit of creativity on a scale far beyond most games and is social. So it's beyond "it's very popular" it's all the reasons why it's that popular that got it there on the list. Many could make the argument for it being even higher than 10

Like I said, Chrono Trigger deserving to be in the top 10 doesn't make it so that Minecraft doesn't.....

I'm not gonna critisize their opinion because a top 100 games list of all time is extremely hard to put together.  I'm just gonna say there are some amazing games on that list.

Exactly what I was thinking!! Not even the mystery dungeon spin off which is so much better that the main series games!

Endless freedom, exploration, creativity and fun with friends. Endless fun with friends. Unlimited replayability. The fact that a child can pick the game up and have endless fun with it, while at the same time a group of adults can jump into a world and create nuclear reactors and super computers shows just how endless the possibilities are. There is no limit to what you, I or anybody else can do in Minecraft.

Thats Minecraft in a nutshell. Thats why Minecraft deserves its spot in EDGE's Top 10 list.
