Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo 3DS selects are coming in october. Does this mean its the end of the 3DS life cycle?

Do you see Mario kart 7,Super mario 3D land,super mario bros 2,Pokemon x and y...No,so this mean nothing,they just reprinting games that weren't shipping/or shipping very few copies and having extremely low stock or no stock at all!I hope that they will do it for the wii u too,for Dk tropical freeze and pikmin 3,I can't find them in my country anymore!:P

 

I'm wondering now if they will reach 1m...

well mario tennis is having the monster legs of mario games,ergo it would anywise reach 1m but star fox 3d was stuck...:P

They should reprint fantasy life(or level 5 is just responsible for that?) and pilowtings 3D,they are close to 1m,so they need a pust,it would be a pity to not reach 1m for just 60k-70k units!:P

Question,the developer or the publisher,reprints copies?For instance can nintendo reprint resident evil:revelations or not,or it must ask capcom for that,enlight me dear!:P

Interesting. But if the timing is similar, the 3DS still has a while. Wii Selects (or the old Player's Choice) had been around for some time.

EDIT: It seems on Wii, they were first released May 2011 (Twilight Princess among others), so one-and-a-half year before WiiU.

Plus, ALBW, Mario Party and Tennis are undertracked heavily...

The selects are simply a list of games that didn't quite perform at expectations, but still have the potential to at least get closer to the ideal number of sales.

True. Nintendo is pushing StarFox 64 3D to profit from all the Starfox WiiU advertisement, NintenDogs is aimed to the Animal Crossing fanbase (it grew a lot since New Leaf), Mario Party and Mario Tennis are Mario games that will have legs, and Yoshi  New Island and ALBW probably ran out of copies.

yes - cashing in for a cheaper price and on collectors like me - I thought thsi was goign to be aquite month but now I have 3 mario and 1 zelda game to buy!

Since tehy are pinting NSMB/NSL on 1 disc I am thinking there is no plan to release Wii U select just yet!

Actually all those games sold pretty well.

We just have physical copies numbers there, but it´s known that  all of them sold way more than 01 million each, counting digital purchases
