His movies rarely bomb and most don't cost that much to produce that is why Sony pretty much green lights any of his studios projects.

Was pixels any good? I've lost faith in a lot of his recent movies. Grown ups was good though.

Pixels was panned by critics and audience ratings, but since it has popular game characters in it, it still attracted plenty of people to theaters. I hear it is pretty much a bastardization of every piece of video game material used.

I found it to be about the most poorly executed movie possible for how interesting the concept was.

Sandler's smart play has always been to put up modest budgets for his movies so that they very rarely bomb financially even when they perform only modestly at the box office.
