Forums - Microsoft - Would this idea work instead of splitscreen in Halo?

Well, the whole split screen thing in Halo annoys me, but if we assume they dumped it because they wanted to keep performance, could there be other ways to enable local multiplayer without split screen? Would it be possible to stream the game to a Windows 10 PC so that the second player uses the computer while the first player is on the console? How would performance be affected? If MS would present a solution like that I would gladly skip split screen forever :).

I don't like this idea because then I wouldn't be able to peek on other people's screen.

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

Yup, the peeking would end permanently sadly :P.

Isn't that how Share Play on PS4 works? So, yeah technically it should be possible on X1 as well I'd say, no idea if they'd do it.

Why would I assume that though, instead of say money. I mean if theres no splitscreen people are more likely to buy a 2nd XBO and copy of Halo 5.
If it was a performance thing then they are lazy, Ive seen other devs in the past sacrafice resolution and fps while playing splitscreen so why cant they??

I am pretty sure most people have a PC :).

I am pretty sure most people don't have a PC capable of running Halo 5 at Xbox One settings :)

Fixed ;)

There's only 2 races: White and 'Political Agenda'
2 Genders: Male and 'Political Agenda'
2 Hairstyles for female characters: Long and 'Political Agenda'
2 Sexualities: Straight and 'Political Agenda'

I agree that it is most likely a bogus argument but 343i has stated that they want to maintain 60fps in multiplayer aswell, and therefore skipped splitscreen.
