Forums - Gaming - I play my Wii U everyday, but I'm not interested in Super Mario Maker...

lol i found it more enjoyable then actual mario games. Main reason so many creative levels from people across the world.

Try this for size lol

The game is just not for you. There's nothing wrong with you and I'm sure that everyone of us here have that game which is universally loved but we just can't seem to enjoy it.

Nah, I play my Wii U everyday and I still don't have MM and don't really plan on getting it. It's just too much of a simulation, playing other people's maps and getting that creative spark every now and then to create your own - that's it. That's the whole game. Some people are super addicted to it, but I'll just stick to my Smash and my Metroid Prime :]

Same here. And I am into 2d Mario. I just don't want to play some meaningless stages. For me, I need progression.

Congratulations? Everyone has taste. No need to make a hoopla about it.

Not everything is for everyone, so that's okay.

I'd agree that you kind of have to be into either 2D Mario, or into creating and designing. Preferably both. To me it finally proves there's some use to the system. By 'use', I mean a game that truly differentiates the system and couldn't have been anywhere else. Moreover, I love the process of creating, testing and tuning your own levels, as well as playing those others here have created.

I donlt know why you feel pressured to get it or like it.

I think its a cool game/tool, but i'm not into creating or playing 2D Mario.

If they made a Sonic one though...

If you're not interested, that's fine.

No game is going to satisfy everyone's tastes.

The game is pretty addicting though, and I'm not even a huge fan of 2D Mario myself.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

I agree. I like playing my WiiU, but all Mario-games don't appeal to me. Well, except the ones that aren't mario (Mario Kart, Mario RPGs, Smash Bros.). So no SMM for me.

I love my two dimensional mario games but this game shouldn't be more than $30. Complete Mario game content, maybe $40. Yes, it looks very fun and I've seen a ton of gameplay. I don't buy a lot of games, so until some awesome DLC shows up, Super Mario Maker is a pass for me.
