An Alright list, most excited for ReCore...

ReCore is not a AAA game.

Which is why limiting the OP by dev budget is so silly! It deserves to be on the list. Same with Cuphead and Below. For me personally I'm more excited for Cuphead than anything else.

What's the scope of the game in terms of budget and world+gameplay?

All of them except maybe Sea of Theives (need more info) should be AAA.

You have seen nothing of recore or hao wars except for a cgi trailer. was halo wars 1 AAA? Do games release from MS with only a year of advertisment AAA? Sea of thives is definetly not AAA, its freaking free to play.

Forza Horizon 2 was released with less than 6 months of advertising.

Forza is an anual franchize, like COD and AC, they can only get a year od advertisement.. Games anouncements for big AAA IP, specially from MS, get a minimun of 2 years of adds.

That's where your knowledge of the series betray you. Forza Horizon is an Arcade title that don't strive on simulation but rather on freedom from closed circuit tracks and insane stunts not normally found in real life.

All CODs and ACs are the same genre and play basically the same. On Horizon the end game is not always to cross the finish line first.

Other than halo and Forza 6, nothing really stands out of the Xbox lineup for me. I don't see the huge excitement for it. Most games we already knew about last year.

2014 we knew about halo 5, scalebound, crackdown, fable legend, gears, tomb raider, quantum break.

Other than a few Indies and the announcement of halo wars 2, nothing super big has been announced for Xbox one in quite awhile.

Meanwhile, ps4 had a killer year so far of big rpgs being announced from square enix, and fighting games coming out next year with street fighter 5, guilty gear Revelator, and king of fighters XIV.

Big RPG from square enix....??? SE announcing a RPG is like McDonald's announcing they are doing the MCRib yet again for a limited time... Not only is it unoriginal... But we've been waiting for something good for a decade... Heck I have been waiting for an original JRPG from anyone for a decade...

And fighting games have been a dime a dozen for a quarter century... We had drought because people don't play them anymore, nothing original here...

And having announcements more then 12 month in advance is retarded IMO... I have yet to buy and play everything that released since launch and coming in the next twelve so anything beyond just feels like insecurity fillers IMO reminds me Sony old tactics to announce stuff 4 years in advance to make people tho,k they have a lot of crap in the pipeline...

And heck yeah Halo War is AAA.... It's simply the best RTS ever made on console....

And since when a F2P like sea of thieves couldn't be AAA??? Last time I checked some of the biggest VG franchises are f2p.... Then again it depends how you define a AAA...

Pretty solid lineup so far, and those are just the exclusives. X1 is getting all the major 3rd party titles next year like Dark Souls 3, Doom, FFXV, KHIII, next AC and COD, Dishonored 2, etc.

You know, not for nothing, but looking at the future release calendars for both the PS4 and the X1 from today on, Sony has ZERO AAA exclusives for the PS4 until Uncharted 4 hits in March, and the only 1st party PS4 exclusive between now and then is the Uncharted: Nathan Drake Collection remasters. So for all the talk about the PS4 having the superior 1st party lineup, there isn't much difference between their lineup and the X1's going forward.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

Why just AAA games? Why not name all games (AAA or not) that makes the xbox one 2016 lineup solid or even more than that?

2016 sure looks solid! Gears4 and Quantum Break are my most anticipated games so far this Gen. I don't know much about ReCore and I'm not too excited for Scalebound yet, but I'm really looking forward to Sea of Thieves and Fable Legends. Will be a great year for gaming.
