Could just be you. I use Google voice all the time on my phone and its pretty accurate. I even use Cortana a few times and it was spot on. Maybe its something within your voice that brings down the capability of the software.

It reminds me of when Bill Gates demonstrated USB and Plug-n-Play on Windows 98, and look what a disaster USB and Plug-N-Play turned out to be.
