I'm not sure how it works. The Sony site for Asia/Pacific includes 3 sub -regions: Asia & Oceania, Middle East, Africa:

So it isn't a matter of ignoring, they all are considered different important markets (thus with different managers and company's structures). Now it isn't clear if Australia, New Zealand and India (the latter because it is a subcontinet itself) sales are included on the chart of this thread.
