Though there's no point putting it on PS4 if it's not coming west.

Simply because Gravity Rush was released on Vita first. And now that it's on PS4, the Vita lost an exclusive and a sort of "mascot" for the system. It's like Pokemon X and Y getting released on Wii U, or maybe their sequels if they existed.

Anyone who think clearly understand why it could only be that way, and any real fan of Gravity Rush knows it's the best news possible, you are supposed to be a gamer, fan of a game before being fan of a console, i love the vita, but it's the best thing that could happen to gravity rush, an ambitious open world for the sequel on home console, less empty city, living world with more PNJ with an IA, better physic, more beautiful and comfortable world, and many more possibilities in term of gameplay, more ennemies at screen, more action, wich is the best for GR. This sequel will without a doubt be much better than the first so a fan shoulud be happy because such level of quality could only be allowed on PS4, this sequel is everything we dreamed of.
Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:
PS4: 17m XB1: 10m WiiU: 10m Vita: 10m

The reason it's releasing on Ps4 instead is because the Ps4 sells more(and they want it to sell more in Japan). It's the opposite for the 3ds and WiiU. The WiiU sells considerably less than the 3ds in any country. Besides in Japan the Vita is getting so many more games as well and Sony seems to be focusing on Japan for it.
I beat the first one. This should be good, but not great, unless it beats my expectations. Doubt I'll be getting my PS4 before 2017 though

Nonetheless, as a GR fan I will purchase this one ! And gameplay looks revisted for this second one which is great !
Vita fans and especially GR fans with some brain would have to be happy with this announcement. Wasn't going to sell a lot more on Vita anyways, making it a ps4 game was the best choice so more people can enjoy it.
I'm a little dissapointed at Sony though, at least they could make GR2 a PS4/Vita game, as a "farewell" to their handheld, but oh well...
