I honestly don't know. Either way, they are both cool game systems imo.

And Wii U is healthy...
| Paatar said: Wii U outsells Vita in US and EU every week and the Vita barely outsells it in Japan weekly. So yes, it will catch up and sell more. |
No... PS Vita is outselling Wii U in Europe!!!
There is only one market where Wii U is selling better than PS Vita and this is USA.
| Scisca said: You guys must be crazy. I'm sorry, but I just can't believe what I'm seeing here! Vita has got a massive (when we're talking about these two bomba consoles) lead and Wii U is about to be killed and all support from Nintendo is to be dropped. The difference is almost a quarter of lifetime Wii U sales!! A quarter!! There is no way in hell Wii U outsells Vita. The very day that Nintendo announces the next console, Wii U stops selling. Vita won't be replaced in years (if ever) and it still has many games from big franchises coming. Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy, the new Minecraft, Ys, Digimon, VLR3, etc. These games will move consoles in Japan and we are about to get a bunch of new announcements on TGS. You guys are underestimating Vita so badly, you should be ashamed of yourself. On the other hand Wii U is only getting crappy Amiibo grames, Pokken, SMTxFE and its swan song in Zelda U, which will be a multiplat either way. That's a recipe for outselling Vita? Right. Get real people. |
This!!!
People always say that Vita has bad support though it has a much better support than Wii U.
Playstation Vita is getting Dragon Quest: Builders, Dragon Quest: Heroes 2, Legend of Heroes 1+2, Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth, Digimon World: Next Order, God Eater: Resurrection, Ys 8, Zero Escape 3, World of Final Fantasy and so much more big games...
Wii U is not even getting a quarter of these great games!

Well if we want to talk about what could have happened Vita could have sold 10's of millions more with a Naughty Dog developed exclusive Uncharted game, an exclusive God Of War game, an exclusive GT game and a monehatted Rockstar Leeds developed exclusive GTA game. Would have been a blockbuster success.
In terms of software the Wii U does dominate it it.
WHo knows!!!!!! We have Pokken, FExSMT and Yokai Watch Just Dance coming which Japan and the other countries might get interested to it. Especially how big YW is in Japan, and people are asking for a Pokemon game on the Wii U <---- It might not be exactly what they want but its still pokemon. (But there was another pokemon game which uses small/mini versions of amiibos but not sure if they got releases outside of Japan)
Pocky Lover Boy!

They could also have done a panic price drop in the first year like Nintendo with the 3DS. Sony actually also put profitability ahead of sales for Vita so I don't really see why Nintendo doing that is mentioned.
When Wii U launched Nintendo had already bled millions on the 3DS just to secure market share. Imagine how much investors would have been spooked if they also did it with the Wii U.
Short answer: Never!
Longer answer but still short: After E3 I'm certain the WiiU will never catch the Vita or outsell it (WW) the only time it has to make up ground to it is the holiday season and there is only one left for it to make that happen. Next year the NX is about to hit the market and the WiiU is going to bomb really hard.

Yes, you're right, that's eactly what Sony did with Vita. When they saw it wasn't doing too hot, they just let it die instead of putting effort to revive it, due to having profitablity in mind. If anything, Sony has been more profit oriented with Vita than Nintendo has been with Wii U, as Vita's memory cards were expensive and Nintendo put ALL their efforts to revive the Wii U by releasing all their blockbuster franchises on it, to no effect. Sony only put one game in one of their biggest franchises on Vita not even developed by the main team. The rest of their output only consisted of their B-rate franchises in terms of sales.
