I'm pretty sure every controller they have is iconic, especially NES and SNES.

They are actually very iconic for their diversity in controllers. Just look how many Geek shirts are out there with just the controllers on them.

Also, I'm happy they didn't went the same route, as I find the Playstation controllers absolutly horrendous for my hands and long fingers and it's D-pad is just plain shit (still prefer the D-pad to the analog stick whenever I can)

the first analog controller of sony was realy good. but than they made it smaller and added rumble features.

I don't think they want to compete with sonymicrosoft anyway. Not since GameCube days. Also they don't have a good console image like Sony and Microsoft. Well I mean its not Sony its PlayStation and its not Microsoft its Xbox. What's Nintendo? We never know what we arengonna get so that's a problem

They can make a console that uses many different past controllers, each of them iconic on their own. They could make the best marketing based on controllers ever if they wanted to. Everyone likes at least one Nintendo controller.

I would say the NES is their closest thing - and honestly it is pretty iconic.

it's not really a problem, it's what Nintendo does different

however, a believe promoting an updated WiiUmote and nunckuck as primary controllers would set the Wiimote as the iconic Ninty controller, since Wii is their most successful console anyway, and WiiU gamepad as an optional/secondary controller, not focus the whole thing on the pad

I wouldn't mind if Nintendo would stick with the GC controller! It's the best video game controller ever made after all!

Um, I think the Wiimote is pretty iconic... no other controller really looks like that especially if you think Ps3 controller vs Ps4 controller and 360 vs XOne controller

but besides that, I don't really think it's an issue, the controller just needs to be comfortable and responsive
