LBP was amazeballz but i hated the "platform for games" direction they took with the sequel. LBP3 is just a mess with the contant level links making me spend half my game time in a loading screen. the gameplay is great but they seriously need to reduce the feature set and prioritize platforming and loading screen performance.

i have high hopes for dreams. dreams is, if you lreally look at it, 3D LBP. that reset in IP gives them a chance to refocus the game on doing just a couple of things great instead of a million things halfassed. i hope they take that opportunity.

lbp vita is still the best in the franchise.

I've never been interested in that game. Although I Keep seeing lbp3 on ps4 for 20euros so maybe one day I'll bite but then I keep seeing bayo 2 for 20 euros too so I'm gonna break on that too

I actually forgot about it, lol. Was cool I guess.

I loved the first one. Couldn't get into the second one as much. I still have yet to buy and play the third one. Hoping for $20 for it on Black Friday.

The problem with Little Big Planet is that it was never really fun for a 2D platformer to begin with, the gameplay is mediocre, all the praise goes to the wonderfull artstyle and the complete editor that everybody uses to make gimped versions of better games, but once the novelty is gone, what we have is little more than a OK platformer, one that does not stand the test of time and it doesn´t help that LBP3 was buggy as hell.

Around the Network

I never liked the series because of how gross looking sackboy was.

the gameplay in the games suck

Never really thought highly of LBP, but I say the franchise was over milked.

The spin offs and constant additions of pointless DLC hurt its fanbase.

IGN's List of Top 25 PS3 games is shit as hell. Epic games like God Of War III, Killzon 2 and many others aren't mentioned in favour of pathetic little titles. Its not entirely bad, but mostly useless.

To me the series should be one per platform and then do expansion. The creativity was amazing, but making a sequel on PS3 was an odd decision. I still love the series, but would not mind it taking a 5-6 year break.

I totally agree with this. When little big planet came, I expected it to be a once-in-a-platform game, like mario kart,  metal gear solid, or gta.  it felt like they were milking it when 2 and 3 came out, but I don't think that lessens the innovation, charm, and appeal the first game had.
