Just beat Professor Layton and looking for another good DS title to play.  Has anyone played AC and is it any good or not worth the buy?  What are some good or bad points about this game?

Get Ninja Gaiden instead.

I bought it for my friend for his birthday and played it a bit. All I can say is: Don't go in there expecting a downsized version of the console games. It's not open-world, it's more like a 'realistic' platforming game ala Prince of Persia. The fighting is quite fun, though, and my friend played it for four hours in one sitting (he doesn't play boring games for long, even if they're gifts).

But yeah, I'd recommend Ninja Gaiden.

this game reminds me of Ninja Turtle game (the new one based on the movie).. and trust me, it's not a good 'reminder'

Ninja Gaiden DS has had fab reviews here at least, far better than AC DS, so I'd follow the advice in this thread as well!
It just looks more attentive and worked out (Ninja Gaiden DS) rather than a quick near-spoof to cash in on a rapidly selling console.
