Seems to be a fairly well optimized game. It runs well even on a toaster. I'm actually surprised that it doesn't run 1080p60 on both consoles.

Did you read the article at all? I know the canned "runs better on the PS4" is hard not to use, but that is the opposite of what was said. I find it humorous that this thread has so little responses. Nothing worse than the crickets when the PS4 version of a game isn't better somehow. I know that they said the differences are minute, so it doesn't really matter. But, that is the case in most of the multi-plats for the last year even if the PS4 has had some minor advantage on most. |
I agree with this comment.

Gotta learn to read my dude. if anything ps4 seems to be taking a backseat this time.
Praise the One.
If I was into the whole 30fps gaming craze I'd get the X1 version then. PC for now though.

Eh they look identical to me, the video shows the xbo and ps4 both dropping frames rarely but when they do its literally 1 or 2 frames never huge spikes or prolonged, avalanche have done an excellent job with it.
It's good to see the versions so close.
Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

Not much to argue about. A few frame rate drops isn't exactly the same as 900p vs 1080p. Besides, it's not a hyped title, currently sits at 70 on Metacritic, and doesn't look all that special, what do you expect? There were plenty responses a year ago when AC unity ran significantly worse on ps4. That's hardly the case here.
It's the wrong time of the year to release this with all the big titles hitting, but I guess they wanted to release it just after the blu-ray release of the movie. I'll get the movie instead, no time for another openworldathon.
Optimize for Xbox One and let the PS4 do the work through brute force.
