Uhm... no. Forza and Driveclub aren't going to be remastered. They will just make a new Forza and perhaps another Driveclub.

Also, what a terrible fucking argument. All new games should be 30 fps so they can get a 60 fps remaster down the road? No thanks.

Yes if they improve the graphics enough to hold up even for next gen, i dont see how a racing game could look better than Driveclub. Now imagine it running in 60fps

Well why don't they just make all PS4 games 720p? So that way we get to experience them at 60 fps today and 1080p/60 fps in 6 years?

But seriously, I rather they work with the limitations to deliver great experiences today. Not concern themselves with the remaster 6 years from now. I assure you most people agree with me.

Agreed.

I think the Driveclub rain effects look better.

I imagine thats not a challenging thing to do if you're rendering half the frames.

Guys, a debate over whether a delay helped? Seriously?

The delay allowed rain effects to be added to Driveclub. If resources are maintained, a delay can help any game get better - how is this not self-evident?

If you're saying it evens out then how is it not a valid point? Either both points are valid or both are invalid.

Driveclub was delayed, that's the reason they were able to get the rain in the game and make it look great.

Again:

And Forza 6 reuses tons of Forza 5 assets, that's how they were able to make the rain look the way it did in the time they did it(and the Forza team is way bigger than Driveclubs team).

That's why I'm saying that it's invalid to use the delay as an argument for why the rain looks better in Driveclub, because while Driveclub had the delay to add more time to polish the game, Forza had the assets from its predecessors to use to shorten its development time. So they cancel each other out and are both invalid.

If you say so. I'll agree if both points are one way then. Even though I think they're both valid

But if you can just cancel out points then what does that say about the 60fps argument? Or the fact that Driveclub doesn't have splitscreen even at 30fps?

I keep coming back to DriveClub. I'm going to play it some more in a couple minutes.

Earlier today I did a couple races with the Motorstorm buggies, Chile race track 17:30 dynamic weather x15 time compression. The sunset in the rain is pure magic. Yet while rain helps with drifting, I have to switch to dry weather for the level up time trials. I can't get past lvl 72, still 0.3 sec too slow with the Gumpert Apollo. There's too many people playing as well. I'm racing daily again, completed the season pass and I'm still tumbling down the leader board :/

Forza 6 will be fun too, yet I'm kinda disappointed the weather and time of day is not dynamic. Baby steps I guess. Makes it easier to wait for a slim version. Besides I still have Project cars to continue with.

He's saying it doesn't count as a point because Forza 6 is using Forza 5's engine.

Btw all this stuff about 60fps vs 30fps.
Yes 60fps looks more fluently, yet sense of speed is better and handling is more responsive in DC 30fps vs Project cars 60fps. A well made 30fps can be just as effective as brute force 60fps, sometimes even more effective as in DC vs Project cars. Racing is mostly about track memorization anyway, not reacting to sudden things appearing in 16ms time frames.

Hm, Forza 6 looks decent but Driveclub looks miles better.

the weather is bad in both!

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

Well you would hope so at half the frame rate. But at some point you just play the game and stop paying attention to visual nuances.

I would like Forza to have the attention to detail as Driveclub, but 60 fps has more impact on gameplay.
