Everyone is having fun but the critics. Why?

Yet there bad reviews will hurt sales. Bullshit!

Having fun playing a game doesn't suddenly make a game good. I've enjoyed playing plenty of poorly made games, and I know you have spurge.

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

All it proves is that you don't understand the concept of "selection bias".

Well every games is bound to be love and hate, this games is enjoyed by the minority and is great games who love it, but maybe not for mainstream consumer or general consumer who always play Nintendo games.

Miiverse status a few days after the launch:
There are some 5 - 8 posts every hour, even during the night.
The fan-reviews made mentions that the game has flaws but that online is nice and lag-free.
Most posters are positive.

Kind of got the feeling from the E3 it was shown at a few years ago the multiplayer would be the strongest part of the game. The single player campaign had all the hallmarks of a weirder then normal attempt at creating a one man badass for a action game that some Japanese developers either succeed at or fail depending on if the audience takes to the character while making him fit into Western tropes for badass as well.

We've seen this fail before with the re-imagined Dante in DmC, combined that with a probably unrealized vision of the game's action mixing melee and third person shooting, you have a shallow single player game. Luckily they appear to have decided to go nuts with the multiplayer which means aside from traditional death match and capture the flag stuff you have things like alliances, teams and other features that make it far better and potentially enjoyable despite being built on a average at best foundation that is the single player and its game play.

Nintendo may never work with Vahallha again but I hope someone steals/adopts some of the stuff they use in multiplayer for a future release in another game.

Well, Miiverse also enjoyed Watch_Dogs... It really means nothing.

The only community that really hated a retail game was probably Sonic Boom. It was filled with complaints about bugs and glitches.

watchdogs was a fun game. I habe 100 hrs in it (played alot online hacking)

It got a huge backlash, but it's still overrated in my opinion. Easily the worst retail game that I played on Wii U and it would still be terrible without the technical issues.

the story was bad yes. But the online hacking an the open world were pretty good.

Critics suck but don't blame them, blame the gamers that listen to them

Well I'm glad people are actually having fun with the game, there's always something sad about a game going completely neglected. Still, the reviews seemed rather fair... I believe Gamespot game the Kirby game a 5 earlier this year and that game was a lot of fun, to each his own.

The more I play this game the more I like it. Reviewers just hates Itagaki-san and Wii U in common. Yeah, it has some serious technical issues sometimes and really ugly Panama Chapter. But the rest of the game is simply beautiful. Devil's Third has strong Japanese and Russian vibes. Too bad gamers from other countries will miss half of the charm.
