Forums - Sony - Just bought a PS4! Need some advice...

Bloodborne
Infamous Second Son
Guilty Gear Xrd
Driveclub ( has been made good through patches)
The Order 1886 (rent or buy for no more than $30. Good game, but not worth 60)
Final Fantasy XIV (if playing online)
Killzone Shadowfall (not a must own per say, but it is dirt cheap by now and will be worth more than what you pay)

The Last of Us Remastered AND GoW3 (if you did not play them on PS3)

PS Plus...yes for online play, no for all else. The perks are nice but nothing major this gen.

Features, remote play is my favorite.

Upcoming 2015 games to watch for...

Nathan Drake collection

Dragon Quest Heros

Persona 5

Until Dawn (could suprise people)

No Man's Sky (indie, but is outside the stereotypical realm people associate them with)

Hope this helps!

I too am a ps4/xb1 owner. Give it a week and then post your impressions. I'd love to hear them!

*edit* you're going to hear a lot of "Oh my God! Game X is so amazing, it cured my herpes!" or "Buy these 100 must play games tomorrow!" Or whatever.  You're a smart guy.  Use your head.

Seems like Bloodborne is the clear winner amongst all PS4 owners, I was thinking about it but I'm worried it'll be repetitive (from the guy that loves Ryse lol).

Infamous seems like a great title too, I had the first one for PS3 but never got to finish it. Surprised nobody said Killzone, I thought that was a graphical powerhouse.

Killzone is a good game. I think people expected too much from it. You know....wanting it to be more than what it was. Oh yeah graphically, it's a beauty.

Agree, I thought Killzone was a good game too. I'd recommend it.

I have to vouch for Bloodborne and inFamous: Second Son. They are absolutely most buys for any PS4 owner.

Bloodborne
Driveclub
Knack

Best feature is playing the games during installation at the same time

I agree with this man, oddly enough. Both truly excellent games.

Also would advise Rocket League and perhaps some third party titles, like Witcher 3. There's a smattering of great games out there and definitely something to like, but BB is the only "Must Have" right now IMO.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Last of us remastered is a must. It should blow you away. I have no concerns about hyping it up as it simply delivers.

Play the Order 1886 AFTER TLOU, as that will blow you away again, simply the best looking game I've ever seen, basic but polished gameplay and an interesting story.

The two Infamous games also look amazing for an open world game, are really fun and well made.

Killzone Shadowfall is the best looking launch title and an accomplished fps.

Flower comes recommended aswell.

PS, PS2, Gameboy Advance, PS3, PSP, PS4, Xbox One

Everybody has already given excellent suggestions but I urge you to not overlook Towerfall if you can gather some people around with extra controllers around for local coop!

Hmm. I read through most of the thread. I agree with the others suggestions but you should also check up on the upcoming games that are gonna release this year and next year.

Bloodborne
Journey
TLOUR
Unfinished Swan
Rocket cars
Until Dawn (those who already have it are LOVING it.
Nathan Drake collection

PS+ = Yes.

The PS5 Exists.
