The leader of the squad who comes after Windmill.  If you don't kill him, he keep showing up.  He's also the one who will execute Malkik if you don't save her.  Actually, he's the reason she left China in the first place, when she used to live there before.

Just finished with the Harvesters.  Some pretty awful human beings.  A pretty tough level to take everyone out silently, too.  Kind of pissed me off that there are so many sitting enemies that I can't take down from behind.  I hope they fix that, it makes no sense.

This game has so much scary stuff in it.  It really paints a dark picture for the future.  Augments like that really are a whole box of angry cats.  I could see riots happening over that kind of thing for real.  Just as scary was reading those emails at Picus, where they were deciding how to shape the news and which side to favor.  I know that happens today but it's not a stretch to imagine it getting worse and worse.

I didn't know who you were talking about either, but it sounds like he has quite a significant if background role in the game. I should really read the free e-book they brought out with the Director's Cut.

@ bolded

This is a big part of why I love this game. It paints a dystopian but forseeable future as technology advances.

A little off topic but it's starting!

That's pretty nifty.  Also, if I had a prosthetic, I would definitely want it in black.

On topic, I just finished Singapore.  Took way, way less time and effort than the first time I played.  Remembering a few short-cut made a ridiculous difference.  As for the boss, which had me genuinely angry on my first play-through, I beat him on my second try this time.  Probably would have downed him on the first attempt but I put the mines in the wrong place.  He's not that bad if you're prepared--which, of course, is the problem, as it's impossible to be prepared your first play-through unless you read way ahead.  This time, I started collecting all the mines I could right from the beginning and made sure I picked up the laser rifle.  There are actually a lot of ways to beat him but by the time you get to Omega, it's kind of too late.  Of course, I'd also taken the replacement bio-chip the first time, so skipping it made a MASSIVE difference but, again, no one is going to know to do that.  That gave me a raging headache that first time, too, which made me even more angry and frustrated.

I actually found him ridiculously easy on my first playthrough, probably the easiest boss in my first game actually. I basically had the grenade launcher in hand and emptied 10 grenades onto him! That was it... I killed him in under 10 seconds I think.

Funnily enough, I've struggled more since then. Must have just been luck on the first playthrough.

And yes, definitely black

Grenade launcher?  I do not know about this thing.

Oh, I see.  Wow.  That's quite a weapon.

The first time I fought him, I think I had a sniper rifle, combat rifle, and a pistol, as I spent much of the game taking silenced headshots.  I didn't have all the grenade protections, either, which makes it a brutal fight if it drags out.  Coupled with losing my HUD and augmentations, it was one of the toughest boss fights I've ever had.  Being able to use Smart Vision helps so much.  I finally took to the internet and found that I could carry down the turrent, so that's how I beat him.

Also, looking back, I had FAR less points then than I do now at the same point in time.  This game really punishes you hard for choosing a sniper play-style.  Now I'm doing non-letal take-downs on everything I can and using the tranq rifle stun gun on everything else and I've got like 12 points that I don't even need.

Question for the class:  anyone use the PEPS gun?  I tried it once and was completely unimpressed.  Both of my targets got right back up so I threw it away.

I pretty much did the same as you with the PEPS gun. I tried it again in this playthrough in case I just mishandled it the first time. It was as rubbish as I remembered it.

There are a couple of redundant things in this game. Half the stealth "aid" augmentations are close to useless.

Anyway, Update 3:

In Detroit for the second time:

- Uncovered Jensen's true past. I convinced the detective to live using the CASIE mod and used it again on Michele.

- Pissed off Taggart in public so he admited he's a dick on camera. I really wish they'd let you kill him at this point.

- Did the Smashthestate mission but missed/forgot the Lucky Guess achievement. If anyone still has to do this the code to the bomb is '0000'

- Kept Sandavol alive.

In Hengsha for the second time:

- Saved Malik. This is so difficult to do whilst trying to keep from killing anyone. I'm still wondering if I accidentally killed one of them after the robot exploded

- Did the Hugh Darrow mission. Managed to melee the lot of them from stealth to get the chip. In the past I used to drop down, knock them down and typhoon. Used the CASIE on Yao to reveal the information about the Hyron Project and Panchea.

- Let Zelazny's squad go.

- Entered Tong's building via the vent on the roof. The layout and guard positions make it difficult to take people out from stealth in the building so I skipped a few on route. Saved Tracer Tong and got the grenade launcher. Had to do a lot of inventory sorting to pick it up but I figure it's worth it for larger bots and Namir. At the Belltower port I took everyone out via stealth before planting the bomb.

Just got to the Missing Link chapter. I thought about trying to get the achievement where you complete the whole DLC without using any praxis points... but I need inventory space! Anyway, back to it.

I did it.  I saved the world.  Again.

I've got to say, though, there is almost no challenge to the last area.  Even hordes of pseudo-zombies went down with ease.  Do they even attack?  I just back up and wait for energy to regen or zap them with the stun gun.  I go up and fight the whole group and I've never taken damage.

Then that last boss fight, if you're prepared, it's absolute cake.  I shot out the cannons with my revolver, opened the pods by hacking the terminal, and threw a grenade to kill the clones.  I set out gas mines and EMP mines and no one made it out their enclosures.  Between each step, I calmly walked around and set up for the next phase.  EMP shielding turns this into a milk run.  I never even used the laser rifle.

I picked the Sarif route, though all of them sucked.

I think I was like 6 or 8 Praxis points of getting every augment level.  Fortify, Analyze, and the Stealth visual ehancement were the only ones I didn't max.  At one point I had 80 Nuke programs so I was just nuking everything at the end.

Really well made game.  Can't wait for Mankind Divided.

Guys, I'm terribly sorry. I've been absent and thus haven't been able to properly play (nor say that I was absent). Glad to see some people here kept carrying this forward. I'll try to cope up with time and put up with the game.

As for this...

Didn't you notice the laser weapon which is standing like right outside the boss fight? Just aim at the final boss with it, shoot and she dies in five seconds. No need to remove the shield. No need to fight robots. It just ends.
