Grenade launcher? I do not know about this thing. Oh, I see. Wow. That's quite a weapon. The first time I fought him, I think I had a sniper rifle, combat rifle, and a pistol, as I spent much of the game taking silenced headshots. I didn't have all the grenade protections, either, which makes it a brutal fight if it drags out. Coupled with losing my HUD and augmentations, it was one of the toughest boss fights I've ever had. Being able to use Smart Vision helps so much. I finally took to the internet and found that I could carry down the turrent, so that's how I beat him. Also, looking back, I had FAR less points then than I do now at the same point in time. This game really punishes you hard for choosing a sniper play-style. Now I'm doing non-letal take-downs on everything I can and using the tranq rifle stun gun on everything else and I've got like 12 points that I don't even need. Question for the class: anyone use the PEPS gun? I tried it once and was completely unimpressed. Both of my targets got right back up so I threw it away. |
I pretty much did the same as you with the PEPS gun. I tried it again in this playthrough in case I just mishandled it the first time. It was as rubbish as I remembered it.
There are a couple of redundant things in this game. Half the stealth "aid" augmentations are close to useless.
Anyway, Update 3:
In Detroit for the second time:
- Uncovered Jensen's true past. I convinced the detective to live using the CASIE mod and used it again on Michele.
- Pissed off Taggart in public so he admited he's a dick on camera. I really wish they'd let you kill him at this point.
- Did the Smashthestate mission but missed/forgot the Lucky Guess achievement. If anyone still has to do this the code to the bomb is '0000'
- Kept Sandavol alive.
In Hengsha for the second time:
- Saved Malik. This is so difficult to do whilst trying to keep from killing anyone. I'm still wondering if I accidentally killed one of them after the robot exploded
- Did the Hugh Darrow mission. Managed to melee the lot of them from stealth to get the chip. In the past I used to drop down, knock them down and typhoon. Used the CASIE on Yao to reveal the information about the Hyron Project and Panchea.
- Let Zelazny's squad go.
- Entered Tong's building via the vent on the roof. The layout and guard positions make it difficult to take people out from stealth in the building so I skipped a few on route. Saved Tracer Tong and got the grenade launcher. Had to do a lot of inventory sorting to pick it up but I figure it's worth it for larger bots and Namir. At the Belltower port I took everyone out via stealth before planting the bomb.
Just got to the Missing Link chapter. I thought about trying to get the achievement where you complete the whole DLC without using any praxis points... but I need inventory space! Anyway, back to it.
