I think its highly unlikely.
The nature of the delay announcement + the fact that the game still didn't have a proper gameplay reveal like normal Zelda's a year before release implies a late 2016 release at earliest. If the game was ever on track to come out in by december 2015 we would have seen more then an alpha looking demo before the delay was announced in march. If the team just needed a few extra months for polish like a summer delay implies, they would have said so. Instead they made it sound like entirely new gameplay components or tech is going to be implemented.
