A fanmade Resident Evil 2 was already in the makes but then Capcom kind of went and annoucned they were working on an official one. So in normal company fashion they shut down (apparently politely) a fanmade remake.

TWIST 

From the way the developers describe the takedown it seems as though Capcom may actually HIRE them to help in the remake. 

If this is true, good guy Capcom!

2 Sexualities: Straight and 'Political Agenda'

Hmm, if the part where Capcom is hiring the devs is true, then this is actually great news!

I'm pretty sure Capcom wouldn't hire them. Why give one of your best games ever to an unknown developer so they can remake it?

What? I'm sure in this context 'hire' means adding them to the team. Not taking over.

That would make it worse. Two developent teams, one in Japan, and the other not.

We are in 2015, offering a job abroad is not that unusual. Big companies often offer temporary real estate solutions too.

Wait what? A small indie team working on a RE 2 remake is worse than them joining together with Capcom to aid in development? How does that work out? xD

resident evil 2 was okay,but I liked the first and third one's better.
