Forums - Movies & TV - Holy shit the new Fate/Stay Night is amazing.

yeah, it became my favorite anime ever, and episode 15 made me cry like a little baby... i had never before in any of my 24 years of life cried over any piece of media (wether its a movie, tv series, anime or games) nothing made me cry until i watched that episode... the feels... oh god....

The Fate series is majestic as fuck.

Archer. Archer is what made UBW, especially the ending where you actually learn his entire story which was never properly elaborated upon in the last series. To the very end, this man was a badass.

Him and Rin were the main reason I forced myself to continue watching.

Every character that was a badass in Fate/Zero was disappointing in UBW.

The animation is crazy good in UBW episodes. Only thing i disliked was Saber defeating assasin without using the power of the exacalibur. Sasaki Kojirō was crazy good in real life and the original anime, there is no way Saber can overcome him in swordsmanship only.

But Zero had Alexander and Kiritsugu, so yea, it was better.

What about something like Jojo, a recently adapted classic manga.

You sound kind of like one of those people that says new games just aren't good like the retro stuff, or that new music doesn't have the charm that old music did. Nothing wrong with that, of course, but that doesn't mean good stuff suddenly stopped being made because your tastes have stopped advancing. I've started keeping up with the latest anime these past few seasons, and I've found a lot of stuff I actually look forward to each week. Sure, next to none of it is necessarily mind blowingly great, but it isn't as if I force myself to sit through something I don't like either. If anything, I'd argue that anime is in a bit of a golden age, where even lower budget productions can look good and tell a good story given the opportunity. I won't try to recommend series because you like what you like, but I see no reason to completely dismiss modern Japanese animation either.

Is the English dub out yet?

Oh you're one of those guys.

lol.

For Zero yes for the Unlimited Blade Works no. And I will say I am like 90% a sub guy; but the dub in Fate Zero I thought was fantastic.

Meh, I'll check it out if they ever come out with a dub.  I thought fate/zero was pretty good, but the original fate/ stay night was kinda rubbish.  So I'm not in any rush...

If it is on Netflix or Crunchy Roll I'll check it out.

Both Zero and Stay/Night: UBW are on Crunchyroll.  Zero is also on Netflix.
