Just a random thought that came across my mind. Probably some other user has already mentioned it (And I sincerely hope this hasn't been officially announced, as I have looked it up and found nothing of the sort), but thought about making a thread, to see what people think.

Soooo, the new Zelda U should feature... multiple ending!

(choosing Miyamoto unlocks the True ending)

This is not just for the sake of it, but think of the possibilities!

· Given that the game is huge, you'll have to look out for secrets that might (or might not) alter the ending.

· The ability to take choices, which would carry towards the ending you might get.

· Some funny/interesting joke endings, like not wanting to be the hero of time and just live your life, or join the villain because...the power of love?

· The replayability, if done right, that would mean getting all the endings.

So, what do you think?

That'd be really cool, and I love games that feature different endings from how you play.

I can't really see it happening with Zelda, though, but I'd be open to it.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Considering the official timeline gets split several times, for some reasons, why not put different endings here so that they can branch it out a bit more? That way everything would be "canon", Zelda gets more entries and everyone is happy.

This would be the first time right?

Not if you count Majora's Mask and Link's Awakening, although the later merely changed the final cutscene a bit.

Just make one awesome endings instead of a bunch of lackluster epilogues.
Different paths through the game is much better than 3 alternative endings based on a bunch of arbitrary decisions that don't affect anything until the very end.

I hope no. I like the Zelda stories because they are simple, linear but also amazing, it's like watching a Pixar movie, classic and naive when you see it from a non-player view, but when you play the game, you feel submerged in such a huge adventure to the end. And I just don't see this with multiple endings. Just imagine if at the end of Wind Waker you join Ganondorf and let him won...You just lose all the strenght of the real ending.

This is what I would prefer also. End goal should be the same.

No please, i hate multiple endings in games.

I agree.
