To bad that it is one of the ideas that never ever will be implemented.

It's a great idea. Everyone wants it too. If you could do netflix style streaming of games, I would even consider subscribing during gaming droughts like the one that usually happens during the summer every year. I thinks it's just too complicated of an idea though. How much do you charge monthly. These devs want money, so the price might be rediculous. A way to keep cost down might be to cap how many games you could play through in a month or something. I don't know though. It could happen, and playstation now would probably get siginificantly more revenue if they added this.

The monthly and 3 months subscription already exist since launch. It includes more than 100 games.

I think the best middle ground for PS Now is let people access any publisher approved game in their digital library but they have to buy play time. Maybe like 10 bucks for a month of playing games in your digital library. 20 a month  for their current subscription service.

Because what PS Now currently is simply isnt working out. I'm sure some people like the rental service but its not what Sony fans hoped for.

Software Emulation for PS2 Games

http://static.blog.playstation.com/wp-content/themes/share-white/images/sprite.gif?v;">Idea 57248 | Posted in PS4 network services by c0nn0r_pwns_u | July 20, 2012

Even if it were a paid add-on, I’m sure many PS3 owners would be thrilled if they could play PS2 games on the system directly. while software emulation may not be perfect, it’s better than nothing!

Currently own:

  • Ps4

Currently playing: Witcher 3, Walking Dead S1/2, GTA5, Dying Light, Tomb Raider Remaster, MGS Ground Zeros

Not gonna happen. There are costs involved with streaming. You need a machine to run the stuff on, and you need to stream it, which takes bandwidth, which in turn costs money.

I'm saying maybe for $10 a month they should allow people to play games they own in their personal PSN library via PS Now (hence, let people stream their library). Ofcourse it would be limited to games the publishers apporve of.

The biggest issue is people don't want to pay to play games they already own. They also don't want to pay for something they can't own (renting and buying a game shouldn't be the same price). So the middle ground is selling people digital copies and somehow allowing them to be used on PS Now.

I think they need to use PSNow to provide for BC of past gen (at least PS3) games you own on disc. It shouldn't affect remaster plans because owners of the last gen game are not the target audience for the remaster. Most people will probably subscribe anyway to be able to play games they don't already own, so it doesn't really hit their revenue much.
