Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Do Wii U owners feel disappointed?

Yes. No matter when the NX is released. If it is a console. Which I hate that we have to keep arguing about, still. I won't buy it. Till I see good sales and the system has normalcy.

Nah. I feel sorry for them. I hope they can get this ship back on track.

Nope. I love the Wii U and the games I have (Wii and Wii U games) + VC. So I'm good about it.

The sheer amount of fun me and my family have had on stuff like sm3dw,mk8,dk.tf,hw, Lego city etc and games I've completed like AC IV and zombiu make the Wii u more then value for money for my household. So no I ain't angry in the slightest.

No, I'm more dissapointed by the decisions regarding software this gen on the homeconsole. Whishing to end soon and move to NX in expectation of a better library.

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

Not betrayed, I feel disappointed.

Wii U will probably last as long as the Gamecube, and I don't expect the next Nintendo console to be backwards compatible with it to a large extent. Hell, I am buying a Wii U in December, knowing very well that in less than two years Nintendo will announce a new platform. That's okay, because the Wii U has a large enough backlog I can enjoy until their next console gets a backlog of its own.

Assuming it releases in 2016, and assuming it's a home console, the NX would be out four years after the Wii U. That's one less than the normal five-year Nintendo cycle. And the hardware isn't great, while the software is sparse.

So no, not really. Why should we be, again?

No.

WiiU has the best Mario Kart ever made, the most complete Smash Bros until date, the best Donkey kong game in 20 years, one of the best hack and slash... ever (Bayonetta 2), a gorgeous remake from one of the best Zelda ever created, my favourite Pikmin game, a better 3D mario than Sunshine, the best Yoshi game since the Snes and one of the most addictive and promising franchises that Nintendo has ever done has started right here (Splatoon)

And soon it will have the most ambitious RPG on a Nintendo homeconsole since... Chronno Trigger? (XCX), an extremely promising experiment like Super Mario Maker (easily the definitve 2D Mario), probably the best Star Fox since 1997 and the most ambitious Zelda game ever done.

If we combine that with other minor gems like Wonderfull 101, Captain Toad, Hyrule Warriors etc, the awesome indie support and the chance to purchase some Wii big classics like Metroid Prime Trilogy, Xenoblade Chronicles or Mario Galaxy for just 20$, just not, I don´t feel betrayed at all.

I understand that with the same sales Dreamcast almost ruined Sega, and Sony completely forgot about PSV on the first year, so is just normal if WiiU doesn´t have a long life, because is pretty clear that sales are not going to improve and soon the console will turn into a bleeding wound for the company. However the quantity of quality first party games on the console it is pretty high even with the short life. It would have been better with a Metroid and a F-Zero game? sure, but it is still strong.

Not really... biggest disappointment is no real 3D mario game, like Mario 64 was, and no Zelda yet.
Betrayal? no... abit disappointed yes.

with games like:

Mario Kart, NSMB wii u,Donkey kong, Bayonetta,Captain Toad,Yoshi, XCX,Illusory Revelations (SMTxFE),...

Make the purchase worth it though.
