Mere ripples on the water compared to mobile games in Japan.

Soon to be dominated by Nintendo as well.
He seems to be reading into things a little too much. Company are indeed in it for the money and that is because of the market in Japan.
You will find very few, if any, 3rd Part western made games (that aren't small indies) that appeal to a western audience on PS4 only. Releasing on both platforms makes more financial sense.
The PS4/Vita games coming out that are exclusive are Japanese based and it's because of the companies are making Japanese games for the Japanese audience. No point spending yen on making a Xbox One copy when it might only sell 5000 copies.
... and a bit rich coming from someone who probably argreed to the Tomb Raider deal. :P
Maybe he should get back to helping people find houses on Channel 4.
Hmm, pie.

Highly doubtful

No, very different market.

I don't mean as in market share over 50% (that's impossible), but I'm sure they'll make the biggest revenue as they have by far the biggest collection of IPs. They're not half-assing this like Sega.
And soon as in the next 5 to 10 years, they'll need plenty of mobile games first.

Not really different lol. Evidenced by Dragon Quest XI. Or Kingdom Hearts.
Most popular handheld games have entries on home consoles as well.

5 - 10 years isn't "soon".

It is to a historian. Everything in life is relative.

Yes and most of those entries reach a very different level of success on both handheld and console.
Also I was talking more about the developers perspective here, unless you're willing to make 2 entirely different versions of your game you will usually be limited to one or the other, with the PS line there's more leeway as the Vita is a stronger system but if you're looking to make a console game taking advantage of the current gen to its fullest then you won't consider handheld.
