So people actually believe that Nintendo shipped 420,000 copies of Xenoblade to just gamestop.

...Ok.

In april 2012, the game never charted on the top 10 of NPD and the top wii game was Mario Party 9 at number 7.

ssssssssssssssssh... Don't Say that, people must belive VGC is a great Source.

Xenoblade sold more in the long term, as vgchartz data shows, the second year sales is higher than the first. Now, if you dont believe in the numbers is another story, specially since we dont have official numbers to say that is wrong

That's the problem with the VGC user, he believe VGChartz is a source. Is not.

I don't must prove the numbers are wrong, YOU must to prove this numbers are correct. So, pls, give me a source for this numbers withouth VGChartz.

Around the Network

It's going to sell under 500,000.

The Wondeful 101 was pushed during the launch window and had alot of hype. It sold 0.3 million according to VGChartz. If this game were Xenoblade 2? I think it could do well. But the fact that it's gotten bad reviews so far, and it's a completely different game in an already niche market? It has all the signs of being another Wonderful 101.

That's the thing, Ryng_Tolu. We're on vgchartz's forum. If we can't use this site's numbers on this site's forum, what's the point of sales discussion here that you're so fond of. People here know the numbers here are a estimate but you can't just dismiss the numbers so casually. It's a legit source so please stow the crap about people having to prove the numbers on here. It's nonsensical to ask people that when this is vgchartz.

I think it will stay as niche as it is now. In Japan it showed no legs whatsoever, I doubt it will sell better than the first game did in Europe because sales are terrible here in general, so all hope rests on North America. That region may actually beat the first game('s VGC numbers anyway) in the long run because this time it won't be held back like the last game, but the question is will it be enough. Being a million-seller is definitely not a formality for this game yet.

Not only that, vgchartz numbers are a type of source. There is more accurated sources, like NPD, but even NPD is a estimate, simply because they are not official numbers.Even famitsu and media create give different numbers for the sales of the same games in the same weeks. They are simply different methods to estimate the numbers. So simply dismissing vgchartz numbers because you FEEL like they are wrong based on your intuition, well lets just say vgchartz is more accurate than your guts. And you are doubting vgchartz numbers, you are the one that dont believe them, so you are the one that needs to disprove me giving me another reliable source(Sorry, but your intuition dosent count), because i already gave mine.

Should have done some research before getting all huffy over vgchartz vs NPD accuracy etc where this is concerned.  NPD excluded Xenoblade Chronicles from its top games data because of its retailer exclusivity:  http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-05-10-prototype-2-pips-kinect-star-wars-to-top-of-april-us-chart

I don't see any real reason to doubt the VGChartz numbers in this instance.  GameStop is a big chain.  420k isn't beyond the realm of possibility.  The chain has thousands of stores in the US.

Sorry, but until a source that say "XenoBlade has sold 420k in the US!" for me those numbers are nothing, and you can't say nothing to me.

So, let's go. Source for 420k in the US?
