All I know is that XBX well sell better than the original since it's not exclusive to one retailer (that held back multiple copies to sell it 'used' at a marked up price).

KungKras said: How did bayonetta2 bomb hard? It sold almost as much as on the 360 or PS3, on a platform with less than one fifth of the install base. Granted there was nothing remarkable about the sales but they weren't that bad.
A Game that has Sold less than 200k in The US and less than 60k is a BOMB. Sadly, because uf You ask me Bayonetta 2 is the best game of this gen, but that is...

Train wreck said: So people actually believe that Nintendo shipped 420,000 copies of Xenoblade to just gamestop. ...Ok. In april 2012, the game never charted on the top 10 of NPD and the top wii game was Mario Party 9 at number 7.
ssssssssssssssssh... Don't Say that, people must belive VGC is a great Source.

Xenoblade sold more in the long term, as vgchartz data shows, the second year sales is higher than the first. Now, if you dont believe in the numbers is another story, specially since we dont have official numbers to say that is wrong

The Japanese sales are roughly lined up with the Wii game. So I guess the question is how much more this will appeal to the west? I think it probably will a bit more. The open world thing generally does quite well in the west. So I think it'll definitely cross 1 mil. Max of 1.5 million I'd say. Depends how well they market it of course.
Ryng_Tolu said: And now, is time to talk about Bayonetta 2. This game even if is one of the best game of this gen so far has bombed hard on Wii U, the reason? 0 ( ZERO ) marketing.
I don't know if it's right to say it bombed hard. It's sold about 0.8 million. That's obviously not as much as their optimistic estimate would be. But it's not bad for a very non-Nintendo type game making its first appearance on a Nintendo platform.
I think it will sell really well with it being a rpg and there's been a drought for games.

The japanese sales are almost higher than the lifetime sales of the original.Acording to vgchartz data, the physical sales are at 110k, but thats just till june, and we dont have july data. But we know the digital sales of may for the game, which was 23k, which adds to the total of 133k games sold in japan.Adding to the fact that we dont know july sales and we dont know digital sales for june and july, and the game is most likely at 150k or more, which with a few more months it will easily sell more than the original.
But yea, in the end it will depend how well it does inb the west. But considering the hype this game is getting, and that the original has sold well here without marketing, i truly believe it will do great sales.
