The ESA is cracking down and now this. Japan is BANNING people for illegal file sharing along with France and the UK. Buy your music people. You bunch of pigs.

But I'd say... wow, this is worse than 2 tiered internet. I wonder how will they even know if you are sharing something ILLEGAL, because last time I checked, P2P isn't legal, some items on there are. I've used P2P to download legit podcast TONS of time. and I wonder if I will get banned.

 I don't think so, you can go on itunes and downloadlitterly every single podcast program there is. I do it too. You can also download from the site it self and there is this thing where you can search your podcasts and download legally. If you click the link it says it will send you a warning. Youtube also has lots of video and audio podcasts(in video form.)

They usually share the files themselves and grab all the ip's that connect to them.

I don't think so, you can go on itunes and downloadlitterly every single podcast program there is. I do it too. I don't think you realize, but P2P is actually a lot faster for me because they grab information from a lot of users.. as oppose to ITune, also, I get throttled a lot through ITUNE, and I'm not waiting 2 hours for a podcast.

For people who steal music, they can still steal them from websites. That's not a valid point to say all P2P/filesharing is bad.

why the hell are all of you fighting this? I mean your on a forum that tracks LEGAL sales for software which is also file sharing. 99.9% of you do not live in japan. Maybe in UK or france. This is a good thing not a bad thing. This will stop the bad stuff, music and still will still be obtainable easily. WTF ZERO support for anti-piracy. lame.
